Discover Puerto Rico

The best time to visit Puerto Rico is definitely between December and April, during the dry season. The temperatures remain pleasant, between 25-30°C, offering an ideal climate for all kinds of outdoor activities. Not only will you enjoy the beaches, but it is also an excellent time for hiking in El Yunque National Forest or exploring the caves of the Camuy River Cave Park. However, it is important to note that, being the high season, hotel prices tend to increase.

If you prefer to avoid large crowds and benefit from more affordable prices, the low season from May to November is a good bet. Despite being the rainy season, the rain is usually brief and does not greatly affect plans. For example, the San Sebastián Street Festival livens up the streets with music, dance, and color, being one of Puerto Rico's vibrant local festivals.

So, if you are looking for a quieter but equally festive atmosphere, the low season could be your best option to enjoy everything that Puerto Rico has to offer without spending too much.

If you are planning a trip to Puerto Rico and want to save money, the best thing to do is start organizing the trip about 3-4 months in advance. This Caribbean island is a popular destination among tourists, especially during the high season, and flight and hotel rates increase significantly as the dates approach.

An interesting option is to aim for the low season, which, although more humid, offers much more affordable prices. However, check if some hotels close areas such as pools or restaurants during these months before booking.

Another way to reduce costs is to consider hotels outside the most touristy areas like San Juan. In cities like Ponce or Mayagüez, it is common to find quality accommodations at more moderate prices. Additionally, these places offer the opportunity to experience a more authentic experience away from the crowds.

Although the beaches of San Juan are famous, Puerto Rico offers much more. El Yunque, the only tropical rainforest in the United States, is a natural wonder that you can't miss. It offers trails for all levels, with breathtaking views.

If you like adventures, you must visit the caves of Río Camuy, one of the largest limestone cave systems in the world. We recommend wearing clothes that you don't mind getting dirty.

If you are interested in local culture, we recommend visiting Ponce and its impressive Museum of Art. For a more tranquil experience, the islands of Culebra and Vieques are ideal, with less crowded beaches and crystal-clear waters.
