On the positive side:
the bed was very good and the room was cleaned nicely every day.
On the negative side:
The rooms in the hotel were in poor condition: some of the electrical plugs did not work, the coffee machine was missing components, so it was not possible to make coffee, the wall paper was falling out in some places, the painted walls were dirty, ...
It was clear that the personnel was under pressure due to the many problems. The tone to us as clients was rude and commanding.
The "breakfast area" was just a kiosk were a few - unhealthy - items could be bought, and there was no place were to seat for breakfast. - 3.8Good optionJovan - Sep 6, 2023

First room noisy, due to nearby machinery for elevators and heating. No air conditioning in room and limited ability to change heat settings. On approaching staff to get a change of room they were unhelpful, we had to wait for 4 hours to get another room, after a struggle. Second room even worse. Door return mechanism hanging off door, making entry difficult, tap on wash basin leaking water, both bedside wall lights were not working. There was no air conditioning and the only way to control heat was to access control inside radiator. The door did not fit properly in frame having a large gap at bottom, which allowed smoke from other rooms to enter, even though smoking was banned throughout hotel. If I had not been going to another city I would have tried again to get another room. This hotel wasted our whole experience of New York. It was not worth the money charged for room. We have photographic evidence to back this statement.

We stayed for 4 nights over New Year. The room was tired and dated and we were near the elevators so we heard them all the time. The worst part was the bathroom, it was old, dated, tired and dirty - my children refused to use the shower in the bath!
Check you credit card transactions as we had over $400 charged to our card even though we had paid for our room. Reception managed to stop more charges but we had to wait for the $400 to be released on check out.
The staff were helpful when we needed them and the location of the hotel is excellent. This could be a fantastic hotel but they need to refurbish the rooms especially the bathrooms. Some websites rate this hotel as 4 star - it isn't! - 2.6Needed new keys made daily!Tak - Aug 3, 2021
I had to get a new key made every single time I wanted into my room. The keys I got only worked once, and I had to get a new set made to enter room. Extremely annoying to say the least. I would not use this hotel unless it was the only one available in ALL of NYC!
